bridges Senior Weekend Shirt ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
I had the opportunity to submit a design for shirts for bridges Senior Weekend, a program that invites admitted high school students of color to come to UC Berkeley and see what life is like here.
The process involved coming up with a theme related to students of color breaking into higher education, using a brush pen to write the words and digitizing them, and putting all the assets together in Adobe Illustrator.
The shirts didn’t end up getting made due to COVID-19, but I’m hoping they may be able to find use for them next year!
Pyrus Law
In 2018, my friend and coworker at the LEAD Center, Ashley Wong, referred me to a project to design Lunar New Year cards for Pyrus Law, an immigration law firm in the South Bay. So far, I’ve had the opportunity to work with them on three Lunar New Year cards.

Valley Health Resources
In late 2020 I had the opportunity to work with a friend’s family’s clinic and design a logo for their printed and digital assets.
LEAD Center: Social Media Design 🐻
As a Peer Leadership Consultant at the LEAD Center and a member of the Outreach Team, I had the opportunity to design graphics and social media posts that reach thousands of members of Berkeley’s Campus.
Kappa Alpha Pi: Print & Digital Design ⚖️
Before I decided to pursue a career in design, I had been set on going to law school (hence the Political Science major 🤧). So I looked for and found a community of like-minded students: Kappa Alpha Pi Professional Co-Ed Pre-Law Fraternity. While I was an active member in KAPi, I had the chance to design our flyers, promotional content, and website content for three semesters.
Camp Alima: Logo Design 🏕
Early in the Spring 2019 semester, a friend reached out and asked if I would be able to design a logo for a new student organization she was starting. It would provide a summer camp for girls in Morocco to explore various fields in STEM. After a lot of coordination with her and other stakeholders in the organization, I provided them with the following logo:
Personal: Khorshid Khaanom 🌞
Khorshid Khaanom (Lady Sun) is a motif in a lot of Persian artwork, and I’ve always had an appreciation and affinity for it. From Wikipedia (with a couple edits):
“Lady Sun - Khorshid Khaanom - is a character in many artistic and cultural practices and settings. The Sun was a symbol of an aperture [for] divine light was flowing through on earth. The sun with face of an Iranian lady with big captivating eyes and unibrows was probably a symbol for beauty. Her image can be found in paintings, fabric printing, embossed metal, mirrors, crockeries, ceramics and much more.”
